All runners who have completed 10 or more Ultra Marathons qualified for a permanent number.  A Blue Number is issued to all runners that achieved this triumph. 

The Blue Number Club was founded and celebrates these runners.  A special BNC Club area is at the Registration area as well as on the finish line on Race Day.  Fellow BNC Club members can encourage each other before the race and celebrate their achievement on race day.

Permanent numbers are also awarded to all runners who complete 10 or more Half Marathons.  This is referred to as the LIGHT Blue Number club but is not included in the Blue Number Club mentioned above.
